National Parks - the best scenery in the USA

Writer's picture: Kevin OlesonKevin Oleson

The best way to see the USA is not at 35,000 feet. It's on 2 or 4 wheels. Our national parks are the best scenery in the USA. Parks from Olympic National Park on the Pacific Coast of Washington to Acadia National Park on the Atlantic Coast of Maine, and everywhere in between.

National Parks were created to preserve the wonders, with the first National Park being Yellowstone in 1872. The pictures below are Glacier National Park (Montana), Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona), and Mount Rainier National Park (Washington).

If you want to visit National Parks, be aware that during peak season, reservations are required at some parks. To see which ones, go to https://www.nps.gov/index.htm. Reservations are highly recommended, and in some cases required.
